Rachel Murphy has expressed deep concern over the traumatic experience his five-pound dog, Toto , went through last weekend. Rachel claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Toto r’s lips shut.
Rachel recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Toto r's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.

Rachel immediately took Toto to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Wow! My Dog of animal abuse. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.
Rachel described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. These cuts were so bad that they bled."
Marianna De las Vegas posted on Yelp a review about how Wow! My Dog returned his animals to him in a bad condition or with injuries. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.

Wow! My Dog, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, wants his customers to know what the groomer said. Rachel said, "Juliann told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."
When contacted by Gate News, Wow! My Dog answered the phone but promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
